What their answer can tell you
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Same question. Different next steps.

23of 18 = ?
6Did they stop at one third?

They may have found one third of 18, then stopped. Check the step from one third to two thirds.

36Did they skip the division?

They may have multiplied 18 by 2 without dividing by 3. Check how they find one third first.

12Can they do it again?

The answer is right. Try a fresh question to check whether they can use the same method.

One answer suggests what to check; it doesn’t prove how a child was thinking. This is an illustration, not a live assessment.

Comparison details

Compared: Toku Guided, Atom Learning Exam prep and Bond Online Premium. This is Toku’s comparison of selected practice approaches, not an independent test of learning outcomes. Method descriptions are not exclusive-capability claims.

Toku’s generated combinations operate within supported skills and difficulty rules. “Fresh” does not promise that a question can never repeat. Answer choices provide evidence; they do not prove a child’s thinking from one response.

Atom and Bond both offer personalised practice. Their question-bank approach does not by itself establish missing learning steps or slower progress. Bond describes parent and tutor insights; this table does not assert an identical account-linking workflow.

Toku currently covers maths, non-verbal reasoning, logic and Originals. English, verbal reasoning and Papers are not yet available. This is not a comparison of complete 11+ exam coverage or full KS2 SATs preparation.

A few fair questions.

Clear plans, clear billing, and no extra subscription for your tutor.

Ask us a question
Where can I get free papers?

You can get free papers from the Toku shop. These are separate from the personalised mock tests in the Papers plan.

Get free papers
What is the actual difference between the three plans?

Practice gives you adaptive practice and results, with you or your tutor choosing the work. Guided adds recommended next sprints, regular revisits and Toku Originals. Papers adds personalised mock tests to target weak areas, mix topics and recheck those skills with fresh questions.

Do tutors or tutoring organisations pay?

No. Tutor and tutoring organisation accounts are free, with no seat or organisation fees. Parents choose and pay for each child’s plan. Connected tutors can use the features included in that child’s plan; personalised papers require that child to have Papers access.

Which plans have a 7-day free trial?

Practice and Guided have a 7-day free trial for parent-paid child access. Tutors and organisations do not need a trial because their accounts are free. Checkout shows the first payment date and amount; cancel before that date to avoid the first charge. The seven-day trial does not apply to Papers.

Can I use Papers now?

Papers is coming soon. Choose “Register interest” on the pricing page to join the waitlist. We’ll email you when it is available. Registering does not create an account, start a subscription or take payment.

How are personalised papers different from a normal mock?

Rather than giving every child the same paper, the Papers workflow uses recent practice and assessment evidence to choose relevant skills. A Focus Paper targets weak areas, a Mixed Paper combines topics, and a Recheck Paper uses fresh questions on comparable skills after practice. A new child first needs starting-point checks or practice evidence.

Are these official 11+ papers or a pass prediction?

No. Papers are personalised, skill-based online assessments, not official or endorsed replicas of a particular school or exam provider’s papers. Results help you decide what to practise; they are not a standardised score, pass prediction or guarantee of exam readiness.

Which subjects are included?

The current practice subjects are maths, non-verbal reasoning and logic. Guided also includes Toku Originals, and Papers includes Guided. English and verbal reasoning are in development and are not advertised here as available subjects. Assessments draw on supported, assessable skills rather than promising a full official exam syllabus.

Do all my children need the same plan?

No. Pricing is per child, and each child can have a different plan. For example, one child can use Practice while another uses Guided. Tutor and organisation access remains free.

How does the 3-month option work?

Pay for three months together and save approximately 10% compared with three monthly payments. The larger price is the monthly equivalent, rounded to the nearest penny, not a monthly instalment. The full three-month charge per child is £40.47 for Practice, £80.97 for Guided and £161.96 for the Papers plan. Practice and Guided are first charged after their 7-day free trial unless you cancel before it ends. Renews every 3 months unless cancelled. Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge; access continues until your paid period ends.

Can we use Toku just for a few months before an exam?

Yes. The 3-month option is for families who want a focused period of practice without a year-long commitment. Keep the features of your chosen plan and work on the areas that need attention. It is a recurring three-month subscription, not a non-renewing pass: cancel before the next renewal when you no longer need it. Your paid access continues until the end of the period. Toku does not guarantee an exam result.

Can I cancel or change my child’s plan?

Manage your child’s subscription from your adult account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access normally continues until the end of the paid period. Review any change of plan and its billing details in the app before confirming. Full cancellation and refund information is on the Subscriptions page.

Read subscription terms
Can international families pay in their local currency?

Yes. International families can pay in their local currency at checkout. Prices here are shown in GBP; check the currency and exact total before confirming payment.
